RIFTSTORM Solo, Co-op, Offline, Local Co-op and Key Rebinding
A dated support table for RIFTSTORM single-player, three-player online co-op, persistent internet, local co-op, and key rebinding.
Current support table
| Need | Current answer | Evidence boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Play alone | Yes | Steam lists single-player. |
| Online co-op | Yes, up to three total players | The store says solo or with up to two friends. |
| Play fully offline | No | Steam says a persistent internet connection is required. |
| Local or couch co-op | Not currently planned | A developer reply calls it an interesting idea but says it would require substantial changes. |
| Rebind keyboard controls | Not for initial Early Access | The developer says it is in the backlog, without a delivery date. |
Important accessibility limit
The rebinding discussion includes repeated requests from left-handed players and players whose current layouts are not usable. A backlog entry is not a release promise. This guide therefore does not provide a date or claim that the option will arrive in a specific patch.
Avoid unsupported workarounds
Do not edit configuration files, the registry, or third-party remapping tools based on this page. None of the reviewed official sources provides a supported workaround. Recheck the game’s current settings and latest patch notes after Early Access launches.
Evidence log
Sources checked
The supported player modes and connection requirement were checked against Steam; local co-op and rebinding status were checked against direct developer replies.
Solo, maximum online party size, persistent internet, current local co-op plan, and initial-Early-Access rebinding status are covered. Cross-play, controller mapping, cloud saves, and future delivery dates are not claimed.
